About this Ministry

Camp Hill, Alabama, is a rural food desert. This means that many residents of our town experience food insecurity, or the lack of reliable access to a sufficient quantity of affordable, nutritious food.

To address food insecurity in our town, we live our first and second principles by operating the Camp Hill Food Pantry as a means of respecting the dignity and worth of all people in a manner that is equitable and compassionate.

Our food pantry is affiliated with the Food Bank of East Alabama, allowing us to purchase food at $0.20 per pound. In practical terms, this means we can provide supplemental nutrition to eligible residents for around $10 per person per month.
